The Knowledge Levels of Fourth-Year Health Science Students on Occupational Organization

INTRODUCTION: This study was conducted to identify the knowledge level of 4th year students of health school on occupational organization.
METHODS: This study is a descriptive style study. The sample of the study included 201 students willing to participate in the study and in their 4th year on Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nursing and Health Organizations Management, Nutrition and Dietetic departments of Afyon Kocatepe University Health School. Survey method was used to collect data during the study.
RESULTS: The average age of the students included was 22,3±2,11. %20,4 of them from Nutrition and dietetic, %16,9 of them from physiotherapy and rehabilitation, 20,9 of them from nursing and %41,8 of them from Health organizations management departments. %64,7 of them females and %35,3 of them the males. %71.1 of them stated that they came to their studying units willingly, %86.1 of them will be eager to use it as a profession after graduation and it was found out that %17.9 of them are already working either public or private organizations.. When the studying departments and the knowledge level of the occupational organization were compared it was found out that the highest level of knowledge was in the group of Health Organization Management students and the lowest level was in the group of Nursing students and the difference among the groups was statistically meaningful (p<0,05).
DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: The knowledge level on occupational organization of all the students were higher than the average and it was detected that the awareness on occupational organization levels of students of nursing was not at desired levels.

Sağlık Yüksekokulunda Okuyan 4. Sınıf Öğrencilerinin Mesleki Örgütlenmeye İlişkin Bilgi Düzeylerinin Belirlenmesi

GİRİŞ ve AMAÇ: Bu çalışma sağlık yüksekokulu’nda okuyan 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin mesleki örgütlenmeye ilişkin bilgi düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır.
YÖNTEM ve GEREÇLER: Bu çalışma tanımlayıcı bir çalışmadır. Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi Sağlık Yüksekokulu Hemşirelik, Beslenme ve Diyetetik, Fizyoterapi ve Rehabilitasyon ve Sağlık Kurumları Yöneticiliği bölümlerinde okuyan, çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden 201 4. sınıf öğrencisi çalışmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur ve veriler anket tekniği ile toplanmıştır.
BULGULAR: Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 22,3±2,11’dir. Öğrencilerin %20,4’ü Beslenme ve Diyetetik, %16,9’u Fizyoterapi ve Rehabilitasyon, %20,9’u hemşirelik, %41,8’i sağlık kurumları yöneticiliği bölümünde okumaktadır. Öğrencilerin %64,7’si kız, %35,3’ü ise erkek olduğu, %71,1’i bölüme isteyerek geldiği, %56,7’si bölümünü isteyerek okuduğu, %86.1’ i mezuniyet sonrası mesleğini yapmak istediği ve%17,9’u herhangi bir özel/kamu kurumunda çalıştığı saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin bölümleri ile mesleki örgütlenme bilgi düzeyleri karşılaştırıldığında mesleki örgütlenme konusunda bilgi düzeyi en yüksek bölümün SKY en düşük bölümün ise Hemşirelik Bölümü olduğu ve gruplar arasındaki farkın istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı olduğu bulunmuştur (p<0,05).
TARTIŞMA ve SONUÇ: Mesleki örgütlenme konusunda bilgi düzeyinin tüm öğrencilerde orta düzeyin üzerinde olduğu ve hemşirelik öğrencilerinin mesleki örgütlenme bilincinin düşük olduğu belirlenmiştir.
