Guillain Barre syndrome (GBS) is a syndrome that affects the immune system and attacks the peripheral nervous system. Because of the incidence of immobility, loss of functionality, and paralysis, GBS should be taken seriously and treated aggressively. GBS may lead to signifi cant complications, disability and psychosocial problems. GBS will require all your nursing skills and powers of observation. The purpse of this case study was to focus on the importance of nursing in the disease management of patients with a diagnosis of GBS.

Guillain Barre Sendromlu Hastanın Yönetiminde Hemşirenin Rolü: Olgu Sunumu

Guillain Barre Sendromu (GBS) immün sistemi ve periferik sinir sistemini etkileyen bir sendromdur. Hastalığa bağlı immobilite, fonksiyon kaybı, paralizi sık görülmesinden dolayı GBS ciddiye alınmalı ve agresif olarak tedavi edilmelidir. GBS önemli komplikasyonlara, yetersizliklere ve psikososyal problemlere neden olabilir. GBS bütün hemşirelik yeteneklerini kullanmayı ve gözlem gücünü gerektirir. Bu vaka çalışmasında GBS tanılı hastaların hastalık yönetiminde hemşirelik bakımının önemini vurgulamak amaçlandı.
